After a rough week, our Allie Bear is happy again! After 3 doctor visits, an ER visit, a lot of bloodwork, shots and antibiotics, it turned out to be a virus called cytomegalovirus. What? CMV. Apparently, her little body did not like this virus one bit and reacted much more than another individual would. Then, adding Augmentin and causing a bad allergic reaction made matters much worse. We are now down from Motrin, antibiotics, Prednisone, Benadryl and Zyrtec to just Zyrtec. Her skin is clear, the fever is gone, she is eating well and is oh so very happy!
I have once again been reminded just how wonderful an average day at home is with a healthy and happy family. I have also been reminded just how thoughtful people really are...sending balloons, bringing a new toy and bringing yummy snacks to entice her into eating and calling to see how she was doing.. Thank you!
And...does anyone know why my camera is suddenly taking pics with these fuzzy spots in them? See the fuzzy area around Allie's left eye in the top pic and the area around Katie's face in the bottom pic?
