Sisters

You've seen these sweet faces on my blog before.  Whenever they are over at our house, they love to pose for my camera and I love to take pictures of them.  So, I was thrilled to be able to take pictures of them this past weekend at their house.  We were freezing but we had fun!

Thanks for being my models!  Hope you enjoyed your post-pictures treat....nothing like icecream to warm you right up!  :)

We have a little secret...

...these nails aren't real.

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa H for the Valentine surprises.  Katie and Allie wanted to have a nail party immediately after opening the presents.

Curly

Will is in need of a haircut but then I always wonder if it's going to get curly if I let it grow a little longer. When it is damp, it is curly/wavy and then it dries straight. I wanted to capture some of the curls...

"I want to play Wii too..."

Will was watching the big kids and Daddy play the Wii and Mommy was having fun practicing with focus points and depth of field.

Peas and Tank Yew

We are hearing this all day long around our house.  Will is so very sweet.  He has been saying "peas, peas" for a while but now it is "tank yew, tank yew" all the time...so sweet.

...and because a post isn't any fun without a picture.

Missing...

A Colt's victory....I did have fun (well, kind of) making this cake and brownies for a party though.

AND...much more importantly in our world...Katie is missing one of her front teeth!!! It has been very loose and last night she came in our room in the middle of the night to tell us it had fallen out. Doesn't she look so grown up?  Notice the tongue through the hole!  :)

Bakers

This afternoon while Rich was with Emmie and Katie at a birthday party, Allie, Will and I were baking. I was baking a dessert for a Super Bowl party. Allie put her baking hat and apron on and Will was looking at her saying "PEAS, PEAS!" (please, please). Luckily, we do have a blue hat and apron from a birthday party (thank you Jenn) amidst all of the pink around here. They were 'baking' in the playroom for quite awhile. Of course, I had to go grab my camera...

Furry

We're enjoying a 4-day weekend...and Emmie is actually allowing me to take pictures of her!  :)  Oh, and I'm trying out Flickr to host my pics tonight...in the past I've used PhotoBucket.  Let's see what the difference is...

Ok, I just reviewed these photos...interesting.  These are all the same exact file...no editing differences.  Do you notice anything?  And, by you, I mean my few 'private-blog-readers' I actually have left.  :)  Thanks!

Tire Swings Are FUN!

Wondering why Allie's jacket looks so many different shades?  I was trying many different settings and they were in and out of shade and my flash was occasionally firing.  This was the first time I took pictures at this type of speed...ha...quite interesting trying to figure out a shutter speed and picking focus points was impossible (for me).  I don't even know which picture has the best exposure...I just think they're fun!

Fresh Air

While playing outside today, I was able to get Emmie and Allie to stop and pose for me...

Student Of The Day

Today was Allie's turn to be the student of the day.  She had a lot of fun filling out and decorating this poster her teacher gave her.  Allie drew our family with her 'A People'.  This is a new thing she is doing where she starts with an A and turns it into a person...very cute.  She was also allowed to bring 3 items to show the class.  She chose her Cookie Monster stuffed animal, her Barack Obama book (of course) and her ticket she had to see Sesame Street Live last weekend.  Will and I were able to stay for about a half-hour and it was so fun seeing her 'in action' at school.  She is such a big girl and seems to LOVE school!

At this point Will picked up my small camera (which I had brought to take video) and walked up to the front, put the camera up to his face, pointed it at Allie and said "CHEESE!"  Then, he walked around to about 5 of her friends and 'took their pictures' as well.  Everyone thought this was pretty funny!

I do have videos but can't figure out how to get them on my blog now that I've switched to Blogger's new editor.  Where is the filmstrip icon?  I'm not able to insert code from Photobucket either???  Anyone have a clue?

Ouch!

AND this bump and bruise is after healing for 8 days...

Love, Love, Love

For some reason, the song 'All You Need Is Love' is stuck in my head tonight.  Tonight's trip down 'Memory Lane' begins on Valentine's Day of 2006....
