Girlfriends

Just about 2 years ago, shortly after moving here, we went to storytime at the library and were lucky enough to meet a wonderful mommy and her two sweet daughters. We soon began to get together for playdates and eventually moved into the same neighborhood. They have since become our great friends whom we see all the time. The girls play so nicely together and as stated in an earlier post...our boys are quickly becoming best buds as well. Last week we went over to their house for some girly dress-up time and to play outside. Here are the wonderful images my friend took to capture the spirit of the afternoon. Thank you Jenn for these unique, sweet and colorful pictures that we will cherish for years to come.

Silly Socks & Shoes

Last week we had a playdate with our good friends. My friend Jenn and I are used to the girls having a wonderful time together. However, up until this point, W and S hadn't noticed each other too much. They were both sitting on the floor together when S noticed W's orange Trumpette tie socks. S kept grabbing them and pulling them off of W's feet. Instead of getting upset, W thought it was hilarious! He would giggle and smile and S would giggle and smile right back. It was just too cute for words....and unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me to take some video. (These pics were taken by Jenn).

So even though we had already decided they were going to be best buds...now it is official! Now that he has made a friend through his giggles and smiles, I guess it's time for W's world to expand even a little more...sniff, sniff.

Also included are a couple more pics of him from yesterday when he was very fascinated by his shoes...and a recent picture I took of E.

It's Entertaining...

W tried out his Entertainer for the first time this weekend. Our Entertainer has made it through all of the girls and now W. I think some people call these ExerSaucers or something like that...whatever they are called, they are great! Anyway, W really likes it...but not for too long. He seems so old being able to hang out in this and play with all of the toys!

Speaking of entertaining, we had a 4-day weekend filled with fun. Saturday night we had an 80's party at our house. It was very fun...lots of hilarious outfits and great music. I had AquaNet, blue eyeshadow, a pick, banana clips and blue nailpolish in the bathroom for the girls to freshen up...80's style.

Lastly, yesterday High School Musical 3 was released. We made an early trip to WalMart to buy it and then had a viewing yesterday afternoon. The girls hung up a poster and made signs directing their friends to the 'theatre' and listing menu items (juice, water, popcorn and cookies). They also made movie tickets to hand out at the door.

Here are some pictures from our weekend.

Happy boy...
"I think I know that guy."

This is the invitation I made for the 80's party. The title is an 80's song...for those of you not familiar with Bon Jovi. :)
Olivia Newton-John and Mullet Man Movie time!
No movie is complete without popcorn.

Our Little Buddy

Will, Baby William, Mr. Funny, Buddy Boo, or just plain Buddy...whatever we call him one thing remains the same...he is such a little sweetheart. Our little buddy is 5 months old today! He is such a happy and sweet baby. His smile melts our hearts, his giggles make us giggle and his cuddles make us so happy. We can't imagine life without our Buddy Boo.

Here are some pictures I took today.

BFFs

I make a point to never type LOL, OMG, BFF or anything of the like but I found it to be appropriate in this case. E and Grace were seated by each other on the first day of 1st grade and they have been BFFs ever since. Last week Grace and her sister came over to play. They decided to make friendship bracelets. E and Grace had the idea to make them identical and then put one side of a clasp on each bracelet so that they could be hooked together...friends forever. I thought this was such an adorable idea that I had to take some pictures. I've also included a picture of K and A with Grace's sister Olivia...they were watching a movie while the bracelets were being made.

Captain Crunch

Ok, so it wasn't Captain Crunch...it was just Rice Cereal and there wasn't much to crunch at all. W had his first taste of cereal yesterday. E was so excited for him to try his cereal and the girls thought it was so funny when the cereal would fall right back out of his mouth. He did pretty well though and seemed to enjoy it. I'm still in denial that he is even old enough to be eating rice cereal...where did our newborn go?

Here is a video...
