Ponies, Parades, Parties & Pumpkins

The last 2 days have been busy busy with Halloween fun. On Thursday, Allie had her Halloween parade and party at preschool. Today we had Katie's parade and party in the morning and then Emmie's parade and party in the afternoon. Tonight Rich carved pumpkins with the girls. Halloween makes me tired but it is FUN!

Here is Allie as a cowgirl during her parade. Emmie wore this costume when she was 4 at her preschool. Katie wore this costume when she was 3 at her preschool. It's definitely been a favorite!

That zebra wrapped up as a mummy you see is Katie during her class party. I found this super soft and girly Zebra dress with some accessories at Target and knew it was TOTALLY KATIE so I bought it knowing I could return it if needed. Katie fell in love instantly...a perfect match.

Here is Emmie in her parade at school. She wanted to be the monkey again this year...she was happy and my pocket book was also! Carving pumpkins...

Now, it's time to start our weekend including 2 soccer games, church, a Halloween party, trick-or-treating, 2 birthday parties and a soccer party.

All Aboard...

The William Express...

This is the girls' and Will's new favorite thing to do...they think it is hilarious that HE is pushing them around. He will do it over and over and over again with a specific route and stops to change passengers, ha. He much prefers to have passengers but will also travel without them.

Bum Bums

There was a lot to do at the Fall Festival at Johnson Farms. There were corn mazes, a straw barn, a pumpkin-eating dragon, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, pig races...and more! Everyone had a great time. Once Will discovered a pumpkin, he loved them! I kept saying pumpkin and then he kept saying 'bum bum'. He held onto a small pumpkin and if you tried to take it away he would cry. He was gripping onto the stem so tightly. The girls' favorite thing had to be the straw barn...especially Allie who was moving so quickly I couldn't capture many pics of her.

Here are the girls in the straw barn...
There were also tunnels throughout the straw barn. Will was busy taking a nap.
More playing and posing...
The little 'Ghost Buster' woke up from his nap and looked as if he had just seen a ghost!
The girls watching the pumpkin-eating dragon... Pics from the hayride to the pumpkin patch...

At last....the pumpkin patch! Emmie talking with Will about the pumpkin...

Will just stood like this admiring the pumpkin the entire time daddy and the girls went for a long walk to pick pumpkins.
They return with the selections...

Back in the straw barn...Will WAS NOT going to let go of his 'bum bum'.

AND....just incase you've never witnessed a pig race...here is a video!

Happy Fall!!

Cabin Fever Dance Party

This is what happens when school is out and it is a very rainy day...

First the pictures...

Now the videos...

What more could I possibly ask for from a rainy day?

1-2-3-4

Here is a video of Will practicing walking today...this time we reached 4 steps. He was so funny today because everytime Emmie and I would try to get him to walk he would try to take his first step by turning all the way around and screaming in excitement.

Here is a video of another walk he likes to do...

Baby Steps

Watching Will learn to walk is so much fun and exciting. So far we just have a step here, a step there....maybe even one time we could count as 2 steps. He thinks it is hilarious and just wants to throw himself on the ground and crack up. Believe me....I am in NO hurry at all...although my back might be because I don't think the pocket book can handle many more copays to the chiropractor. Here are three videos of learning in progress.

Here he is...more interested in saying "HI" and holding his ball...

This time giving the puppy some love...

This time he gets real excited and even tries for one step.

Here is another fun video of Katie and Will playing together. This toy is supposed to use balls but Katie had another idea...which I must admit was very fun...for all of us!

Big Boy Chair

Will has graduated from his highchair to this booster chair. I must say I am so happy to have ditched the highchair and moved on to this sooo easy to clean booster seat....and he thinks it's pretty neat too!

Sweet smile, seven little teeth, super long eyelashes, drool on chin, milk on sweater...have I mentioned lately how much I love this little boy of ours? I may be quite bias but don't you just want to squeeze him?

Question

What do you get when you are on your way to church, decide it's a good time to take a family pic because it has been soooo long since you've taken a picture all together, grab your neighbor real quick, and position your family directly looking into the bright sun?

You get this pic....
Oh well...atleast we tried....and we shall try again...

Another outtake from that quick photo session...poor Will...

Buddies

Will and his buddy Sam took their first wagon ride together today. Here is a video of them playing together in the wagon.

Pumpkin Princesses

Our sweet friend Julia turned 5 and Friday night she had a Pumpkin Princess party. The girls sure did have a lot of fun at this party. Allie was just ecstatic and trying her very 3-year-old best to "hang" with the 5-8 year olds...and I must say she did a great job. Katie gave Julia a super cute best friend t-shirt. When she heard Julia's photographer mommy say that she was going to have to do a 'best friend photo shoot' with them wearing those t-shirts and other fun items, Katie said "YES!" :)

Here is a pic of Katie with her BFF the birthday girl.

One very excited Pumpkin Princess...

So excited she was climbing the walls...sorry Jenn, I did make her get down after I took the pic. :0

And a very silly Pumpkin Princess....she didn't even argue one bit when I gave the sparkly skirt to put on for the party...

Finally....proof that Allie REALLY had fun at this party....this is how I found her sleeping in her bed later that night (wearing the Pumpkin Princess slippers she was given at the party).

Sweet dreams my pumpkin princesses...

Pumpkin Patch

Last Friday I was able to go on a fieldtrip with Katie to the Pumpkin Patch on a real working farm. This was her first fieldtrip and her first ride on a school bus. Thank you to her teacher who must understand that some of us mommies don't have family in town and allowed me to bring Allie and Will. I remember taking Katie and Allie to Emmie's first fieldtrip to a Pumpkin Patch in Cleveland. It was quite challenging with Allie and Will but worth every minute as Katie seemed to appreciate having me there.

Here is a pic of Katie's classOn the hayride...Allie and Will had fun on the hayride also...Katie picked her pumpkin and gourd...Sooo heavy.... just like Will was when I was carrying him through the muddy fields...
Through the corn maze...
At last....donuts with friends...Bus rides are fun!

At one point, we were waiting for Katie's class and I decided to take some pics of Allie by this board. As I was taking pics, Will started cracking up laughing and smiling thinking that Allie was playing peek-a-boo with him. It was soooo cute.
A video of Katie feeding the animals...

I'm sure in no time at all I will be posting pics of Will and I attending Allie's fieldtrip to the Pumpkin Patch when she is in Kindergarten.
