The Story Of Mr. Funny

This past January we found out our lives would be blessed with another child. In mid April, we found out we were going to have our first boy. We told the girls about the ultrasound and how the baby was opening and closing his mouth, waving and sucking his thumb. They immediately said that was funny and named him Mr. Funny. Throughout the rest of the pregnancy, we called him Mr. Funny as we could not decide on a name. Then, while putt-putting in the Ozarks in May, there was a family behind us that had a little boy with a shirt that said Mr. Funny. That was it....I had a mission.....I had to find the shirt. A few weeks later, we found the shirt at Nordstrom. On September 10th, our Mr. Funny entered our lives and family and we fell in love immediately. It has taken awhile to think of him by his actual name rather than Mr. Funny but we are on our way! Here he is in that Mr. Funny t-shirt....although quite large as it is a 2T. Welcome to our family Mr. Funny!

Soccer Game

E had a soccer game this past Saturday. Grandma B was in town to see the action. E loves to play soccer with all of her friends and is doing well. Also, a picture of W at the game and another picture of him at home.

Two Weeks Old!

I have no idea where the past two weeks have gone. It feels more like it has been 1 week. Today I'm posting some pictures of our family who came to meet W and help take care of the girls. Here are Grandma and Grandpa H and Great Grandma W with W at the hospital. Next, is a picture of Grandma B with W at home. I have to include a picture of K from her cowgirl day at school....she was too cute!

Big Sis

A finally stopped running around long enough to notice that there's someone new in the house. She is calling him her baby brother and comes to me and says "uh-oh mommy" when he cries. Everything is going well and we had our first family outing yesterday to E's soccer game.

A Buddy For Will!

On Monday, Uncle J and Aunt E had a baby boy...his name is Jack! Will and Jack are sure to grow to be great buddies.....maybe they will even go to college together at the University of Dayton someday. :)

We are having fun getting to know W better. E is completely in love and wants to hold him all the time. K has finally decided that he is pretty neat and also likes to hold him now. A is pretty much too busy to notice what's going on.

Welcome Home!

On Saturday, we brought W home to join our family! He looked as cute as can be in his blue and brown polka dot outfit and blankie. The girls are having fun watching him and holding on to his tiny hands. E has always wanted a dog and actually said "He is better than having a dog!" :)

Day Three- Only In Kansas!

William had a very interesting day today. While Grandpa H, Grandma W and big sisters E and K were visiting, the tornado sirens went off. All patients and visitors were taken out of their rooms and moved to the hallway for about an hour and a half. Here is a picture from the 'excitement' as well as some new pictures of Will....one with his eyes actually open!

Today Will met his big sisters! They were so very excited to see him and he was wide awake for the big event. Will also met his Grandma and Grandpa H and Great Grandma

William Joseph

William Joseph joined our family on September 10th at 12:37 pm. He weighed 8.7 and was 19 and a half inches long. He has already stole our hearts and is such a sweetheart! Here are some pictures from our very happy day!

5 Days And Counting!

It is hard to believe that our baby boy will be here in 5 short days! Ok, it's not that hard for mom to believe! 'Mr. Funny,' as the girls call him, is scheduled to arrive next Wednesday the 10th. We are all very excited around here.

An Update On The Girls

Here's a quick update on the girls. E started second grade a couple of weeks ago and is loving it. She is also playing soccer starting this weekend. K started 4 year old preschool last week and is having so much fun. She is also taking dance classes again and is quite the ballerina. A recently moved rooms and is now sleeping in her big girl bed! It was a tough transition but now she is happy with her 'big girl' status!
