It's Alarming...

1. Waking up at 8:10 with only 10 minutes to get Emmie and Katie ready for school and only 20 minutes after that to get Allie to her first day of preschool! Apparently someone, with little hands I believe, turned down the volume on our alarm clock. :0

2. Finding this BEAST in our office today! Inside our house, how dare he?! He is still under this plastic container with a suitcase holding it down....waiting for Rich to get home from work.

{EDIT: Spider picture removed because it was creeping me out and he was making appearances in my dreams, ugh!}

3. The important part of this post.....Allie is old enough to go to preschool!

It seems like such a short while ago that she was Will's age. She was so excited for her first day. Last week we went together for a 1-hour orientation. This morning I said "Allie you get to go to school today!!!!" to which she replied "YESandYOUareNOTstayingTODAY!!!" all in one quick and excited long word! Sniff, sniff...

Don't you just love the pose she came up with?

359 Days

It's been 359 days since that magical day. Well, some parts weren't so magical (you know, like prepping for major surgery) but everything after 12:37 pm was indeed magical. Our baby boy was named in the surgery prep room. William was one of Rich's grandpa's middle names and Joseph was his other grandpa's middle name. Joseph is quite a popular name in my family as well. :)

William Joseph joined our family and weighed 8.7 pounds and was 19 and a half inches long. He stole our hearts immediately.

Number 9

I have always loved the number 9 and it was always my sports number...I even have a gradeschool volleyball jersey in my chest of drawers to prove it...seriously. Maybe it was because I loved the movie 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' and the quote ....'nine times' ...who knows.

Anyway, Emmie has been number 9 in soccer for 3 years. Yesterday at Katie's soccer practice her coach did a cute thing where the girls had to do a little drill to 'earn' their jersey. When she turned her jersey around, we saw the number 9....number 9 on her team THE BLUE ANGELS.

Here is a cute video of her earning her jersey, checking it out and then running over to show us the jersey!

358 Days

We've been blessed with having William in our lives for 358 days now. Only 7 more days until our 'newborn' turns one! Ok, I know he isn't a newborn anymore but he isn't a toddler either. I'm going to make a special post to celebrate this very special milestone everyday for the next week!

He started out as a dream.....a dream of having a fourth child.

This is how 'our dream' looked on February 15, 2008....a small and fuzzy-looking miracle.

Remember this little girl? She announced to our family and friends that she was going to be a big sister.
This is how he looked on March 10, 2008.... big changes in less than a month.
On April 9th, we learned we were going to have a son. Grandmas and Grandpas received special "It's A Boy Balloons' delivered to announce the news.
The girls announce the news to others that they will soon have a baby brother! It was on this day that he was named Mr. Funny.
With 2 months to go, the belly just kept growing and growing and growing...The morning of September 10, 2008....on the way to the hospital....anxious to meet our yet-to-be-named son.
