Sheee's Baaack...

After a rough week, our Allie Bear is happy again! After 3 doctor visits, an ER visit, a lot of bloodwork, shots and antibiotics, it turned out to be a virus called cytomegalovirus. What? CMV. Apparently, her little body did not like this virus one bit and reacted much more than another individual would. Then, adding Augmentin and causing a bad allergic reaction made matters much worse. We are now down from Motrin, antibiotics, Prednisone, Benadryl and Zyrtec to just Zyrtec. Her skin is clear, the fever is gone, she is eating well and is oh so very happy!

I have once again been reminded just how wonderful an average day at home is with a healthy and happy family. I have also been reminded just how thoughtful people really are...sending balloons, bringing a new toy and bringing yummy snacks to entice her into eating and calling to see how she was doing.. Thank you!

And...does anyone know why my camera is suddenly taking pics with these fuzzy spots in them? See the fuzzy area around Allie's left eye in the top pic and the area around Katie's face in the bottom pic?

An 'out-take' from a photo shoot today.....further evidence that Allie is back to her usual self! :)

Cheers

Emmie and Katie attended a cheer camp this past week and had so much fun. The conclusion of this cheer camp is to perform a dance and cheers on the field of our minor league baseball team. Very exciting! Daddy stayed home to take care of Allie and Will since Allie was still not feeling well. We invited our neighbors to go with us and it became a very silly night.
Here are some pictures... On the field waiting to perform...

Katie, prepared with her baseball glove, waiting to catch a baseball...
Emmie getting a little excited for the T-Bones....actually she just had too much sugar...
Boys like pom-poms too...
Here is a short video from the dance...Blogger didn't like my 3 minute video.

Here is a video of one of the cheers...

Another case of too much sugar...

Special Delivery

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa H for my special delivery. It made me feel better! I love the balloons and the Beanie Baby. It matches my Teanie Beanie Baby from McDonalds. Now Softy has a mommy named Shiny.

I don't feel like chatting just yet but I just wanted to say thank you very much!

Love,
Allie

Barackamoli & The Chunky Cheetoh

Now that's one title that can only be explained by our sweet and funny little Allie Bear. Just when she had stopped talking about Mr. President so much, she is now frequently referring to something called Barackamoli...is this some type of Presidential guacamole or something? She said that it's something to eat with a juice box.

Now for the Chunky Cheetoh explanation. One day, about a week ago, Allie just decided to start calling Will 'Cheetoh'. A couple of days later she added 'Chunky' and he became 'Chunky Cheetoh'. We think it's pretty funny. She is constantly saying things like "Where's Chunky Cheetoh?", "I love my Chunky Cheetoh" and "Cheetoh!!!"

Speaking of our little bear, she's had a rough day. She has a high fever and an unusual rash all over that the doctors couldn't explain this morning. What I thought would be a quick appointment resulting in antibiotics for strep ended up to be over 2 hours with many tears involved. Initial bloodwork led to more bloodwork and strong antibiotic shots to cover anything that might be found in the bloodwork. Please say a little prayer for her to feel better real soon.
