Spiker Chix

Emmie's volleyball team, the 'Spiker Chix' had a great season. This is their second year playing and it is a lot of fun to watch the games. They came in 2nd place this year. :)

Will has been having so much fun with my point and shoot lately. He especially had fun finding Rich asleep...and then waking him up. :)

We went out to take pics last night and a nice lady asked if she could take our pictures. Yay for my favorite stranger picture ever! Finally...a picture together. :) I also love this one Rich took.

Silhouette

If I had planned on taking this picture, it wouldn't have worked.  It really would not have worked.  However, Rich is traveling and so we went to play on the playground by Emmie's soccer practice before picking her up.  I took my camera because I thought I'd capture a few fun playground pics while there.  As we were leaving the sky was beautiful so I decided to go for the silhouette.  It isn't perfect (technically) but I love it.  :)

August 29th

August 29th is a wonderful day.  It is Rich's birthday and also my dear Aunt Mayme's birthday in heaven.  We called Rich in the morning at work to sing happy birthday to him.  We also went out to dinner and then came home to open cards and gifts and have some of his cake that Grandma and Grandpa brought him this past weekend. Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband! Happy Birthday to my dear Aunt Mayme...I'll be sure to have some pizza with tomatoes and pepper just for you.

Dance Show

Lately the girls have been dancing ALL THE TIME. They make up dances to different songs, they plan the outfits, they practice and then they perform. It happens nightly and I bet today they did this for 6 hours or so. Here are some pics from today.

First, there was the practicing all day!  Then, they created a program and did hair and make-up.  They even had a dressing room in the corner of our dining room for in between dance wardrobe changes.  So fun!
